With the new STEIGER® Ampero TBR 260 E, RUTHMANN presents the latest E-Steiger® generation on IVECO eDaily chassis

The proven, 100 % electric RUTHMANN Ampero is now available on the standard chassis of the new IVECO eDaily. Based on the current STEIGER® TBR 260, the Ampero TBR 260 E is the highest and most performant truck-mounted aerial platform on the market in the electric range. The latest generation offers a working height of 26 meters and an outreach of not less than 17 meters. 150 kilometres and 30 full working cycles are possible with one battery charge – it is more than enough for one working day.

The all-electric E-STEIGER® Ampero TBR 260 E has a unique concept.
The battery of the IVECO eDaily is used for journeys and at the same time for driving the STEIGER®. With the AMPERO TBR 260 E, you drive and work on a 5.2 t or 7.0 t chassis quietly and emission-free. The new Ampero TBR 260 E thus pursues the proven concept of the Ampero TBR 250 E with even improved performance data and on a standard chassis. The STEIGER® Ampero TBR 260 disposes of a 74 kWh battery supplying the aerial platform and the electric engine of the chassis. The battery is charged by using a customary standard charging cable connected to the charging port in the radiator grille of the IVECO eDaily. It takes one hour to fully charge the battery via continuous current at 80 kW and four hours via alternating current at 22 kW.

The e-engine offers many substantial advantages

Besides emission-free driving and working, the electric drive offers numerous advantages over a conventional combustion engine: The electric engine disposes of a high torque and has an efficient engine braking effect, e.g., with energy recovery when driving downhill. The vehicle needs fewer moving parts such as the alternator and gear box which increases the service life. As no diesel fuel is refuelled and no engine oil change is required, only low current costs arise.

Quiet operation completely without emissions

The STEIGER® Ampero TBR 260 E offers outstanding performance data without compromise. The almost noiseless drive opens up new fields of application in noise-sensitive areas. The STEIGER® Ampero TBR 260 E is perfectly suited for works during night or in the vicinity of hospitals and retirement homes as well as in residential areas. Operations in enclosed areas are also possible without additional measures, ideal e.g., for trade fairs or spacious production sites.

Unrestricted, outstanding performance data

Compared to a conventionally operated truck-mounted aerial platform, the E-STEIGER® Ampero TBR 260 E requires no change in usage habits during work. The Ampero TBR 260 E is just as easy to operate as you would expect from a RUTHMANN STEIGER®. With a working height of 26.00 meters and an outreach of not less than 17.00 m, the operating data have been improved by around one meter in comparison with the predecessor STEIGER® Ampero 250 E. As movable basket jib with a rotation angle of 185°, the proven RÜSSEL® offers maximum operational flexibility. It is possible to work behind pipelines or other obstacles without problem.

The working basket carries 250 kg and measures 1.40 x 0.70 m. A larger working basket with a size of 1.60 x 0.7 m as well as an increased load capacity of 300 kg is also optionally available.

The flexible stabilisation – horizontal and vertical – of the STEIGER® AMPERO TBR 260 E enables the exploitation of the maximum outreach as the machine can be stabilized close to the object.

The RUTHMANN telescopic construction made of high-strength fine-grained steel with optimised boom shape and laser seam is extremely stable and guarantees highest reliability in operation.

All these factors let the STEIGER® AMPERO TBR 260 E be the highest and most performant truck-mounted aerial platform on the market in the electric range.
