PALFINGER, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative crane and lifting solutions, has received the prestigious IAPA Award 2026 for its PT 25 TJ aerial work platform. The model was honored as “Product of the Year – Vehicle/Trailer Mounted” at the International Awards for Powered Access in Istanbul. The PT 25 TJ had been shortlisted alongside the Multitel Pagliero MJE 710 and Socage Forste 27D Speed HE+H.
The award marks another milestone for PALFINGER’s aerial work platform business and its new TEC range. Aerial work platforms are a strategic growth area for PALFINGER, reflected in the Strategy 2030+ program “AWP as Additional Core Pillar”.
Performance built around Customer Needs
Designed as a versatile 3.5-ton aerial work platform, the PT 25 TJ combines high performance with stability, ergonomics and operational efficiency. It offers a working height of 25 meters, a maximum horizontal outreach of 19 meters and a basket load of 300 kilograms. Improved ergonomics, enhanced basket stability and precise, intuitive controls are designed to make demanding work at height easier and more efficient.
As part of the new TEC range, the PT 25 TJ represents PALFINGER’s approach of delivering more performance at lower weight. A modular component architecture also helps streamline maintenance and reduce downtime.
The PT 25 TJ additionally offers the option of a battery pack. PALFINGER’s TEC range supports hybrid or fully electric configurations, enabling high performance while reducing emissions at the job site. Battery operation also allows the platform to operate with the vehicle engine switched off, reducing both emissions and noise.
A new Generation of PALFINGER Aerial Work Platforms
“Winning the IAPA Award with the PT 25 TJ is a strong recognition of the direction we have taken with our new TEC range. We have listened closely to our customers and translated their requirements into a solution that combines performance, stability, efficiency and ease of operation. This award confirms our ambition to further strengthen aerial work platforms as a core pillar of PALFINGER and deliver solutions that create real added value for our customers”, says Alexander Susanek, COO of PALFINGER.
The TEC range marks the next generation of PALFINGER aerial work platforms in the 3.5-ton class. Models in the range cover working heights from 19 to 28 meters and focus on increased reach, improved basket stability, higher basket loads, reduced weight and greater flexibility in chassis selection. The range also incorporates PALFINGER CONNECTED functionality, providing access to machine data for applications including remote diagnostics, fleet management and maintenance planning. Series production is now in full swing, and the first customers have been successfully operating their new TEC platforms since mid-2026.
With the IAPA Award, PALFINGER reinforces its position as a technology-driven provider of lifting solutions and continues the strategic development of its aerial work platform portfolio. The TEC range was the first step in the continuous expansion of this portfolio, with further models already planned.
