On 21 October, the exhibition organised by Fiera Milano and FLA Eventi will take part in the “Current Trends and Future Prospects in Construction” conference, as part of an international programme aimed at fostering new opportunities for cooperation between businesses and industry professionals.

MADE Expo is strengthening its international presence, with Romania among the key markets featured in its programme of initiatives leading up to the next edition, which will take place at Fiera Milano from 17 to 20 November 2027.

On Wednesday 21 October, the exhibition dedicated to architecture, construction and innovation will be in Timișoara to take part in the conference “Current Trends and Future Prospects in Construction”, organised in collaboration with ICE – the Italian Trade Agency, which promotes the internationalisation of Italian businesses.

This initiative is part of MADE Expo’s international strategy, which combines attracting international buyers and industry professionals to Milan with a direct presence in overseas markets. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of local supply chains, build professional relationships and develop new business opportunities. In this context, closer ties between Italy and Romania offer significant potential for exchanging expertise, technologies and innovative solutions in a sector undergoing profound change.

Romania: a growing construction market and opportunities for building renovation

The Romanian market offers promising prospects for Italian companies operating in the construction sector, supported by continued growth in construction activity and a strong focus on upgrading the existing building stock, particularly through energy-efficiency improvements and the seismic strengthening of buildings.

These developments are creating new opportunities for companies offering construction technologies, materials and systems, from windows and doors to building-envelope solutions and products designed to improve the energy performance of buildings. The conference in Timișoara will therefore provide MADE Expo with an opportunity to engage directly with the local market and explore further opportunities for cooperation between Italian and Romanian industry professionals.

An international programme also involving Poland and Spain

Romania is part of a wider programme of international initiatives leading up to MADE Expo 2027.

On 14 October, the exhibition took part in a B2B forum in Łódź, Poland, focused on the windows and doors sector, in which Poland has established a strong export presence.

The programme will continue in Spain in November. As the guest country at MADE Expo 2027, Spain will be at the centre of initiatives aimed at strengthening dialogue with a market of strategic importance for architecture, construction and building renovation.

Connecting markets, expertise and innovation

Through its direct presence in international markets, MADE Expo aims to strengthen its role as an international platform bringing together companies, architects, designers and other construction industry professionals. This approach highlights the expertise of Italy’s construction sector while encouraging dialogue with markets facing similar challenges: improving building energy efficiency, innovating products and processes, and meeting growing demands for sustainability and higher-quality buildings.
