DC Range Extension: more power, scalable architecture, and a mobile solution for the future of electric mobility

GEWISS is expanding the JOINON range of DC charging stations, increasing the maximum installable power up to 480 kW and enhancing flexibility with the introduction of a new 30 kW movable solution.
The DC Range Extension project complements and strengthens the existing DC I-FAST portfolio, meeting the growing demand for High Power Charging (HPC) infrastructure in logistics, fleet operations, public transport and high-traffic charging hubs.
This expanded range enables designers, operators and installers to deploy future-ready, scalable infrastructure today, capable of growing over time without the need for major redesigns or hardware replacement.

DC Range Extension: More Power, More Flexibility, Same System Logic

This latest expansion introduces three new solutions that seamlessly integrate into the JOINON ecosystem while maintaining architectural consistency, connectivity standards and a unified design approach:

  • HPC COMPACT is a 240 kW all-in-one DC charging station designed for fast-charging hubs and applications where minimizing downtime is critical.
  • HPC STATION is a modular all-in-one DC charging station delivering up to 480 kW, engineered for high-traffic locations and HPC infrastructure. Its scalable architecture allows installed power to be increased progressively as demand grows.
  • MOVABLE is a 30 kW movable DC charging solution developed for temporary environments or flexible applications such as workshop servicing, operational fleet support and industrial vehicle charging.

The DC I-FAST range allows every station to be configured according to specific project requirements, offering flexible options for cable length, payment systems and smart load management. This level of customization enables designers, installers and operators to optimize site layout, user experience and available power while reducing complexity and infrastructure costs.

A key differentiator of the DC Range Extension is the increase in available power beyond 180 kW, unlocking new use cases for charging high-performance electric vehicles, including heavy-duty vehicles and e-trucks.

An Even More Complete Joinon Range

With power output extended up to 480 kW, JOINON positions itself as a comprehensive charging solution portfolio capable of addressing a wide range of applications, from flexible and temporary charging for workshops, construction sites and events to HPC infrastructure for logistics, public transport and high-traffic transport corridors.

As part of the GEWISS ecosystem, JOINON delivers a structured and reliable approach, with dedicated support for design, installation and commissioning, tailored to installers, EPC contractors, system integrators and mobility operators.

Scalable Infrastructure for Evolving Needs

The increase in available power, combined with a modular architecture, effectively addresses three key market needs: shorter charging times in high-turnover environments; support for electric fleets and heavy-duty transport; investment protection through long-term scalability.

The DC Range Extension is designed to support the evolution of both public and private charging networks, allowing operators to size infrastructure for today’s needs and expand power capacity tomorrow as demand and EV adoption increase.

Continuous Support From Selection to Complete Design

A distinctive element of the JOINON offering is the continuous support provided throughout the entire charging infrastructure development process, from initial product selection through to commissioning, ensuring expertise and reliability at every stage.
JOINON supports installers, designers and operators through a single point of contact, reducing technical uncertainty and simplifying the management of complex projects while ensuring architectural consistency and regulatory compliance.
