In Coimbatore (India) the Construction of Elevated Highway along Avinashi Road from Upplipalayam to Goldwins junction PASCHAL Form Work (India) Pvt. Ltd. was supplying the formwork for the cast-in-situ parts of crash barrier for this project and thus enabling the construction work to proceed quickly and easily.

The Avinashi Road Elevated Expressway is a   10.10-kilometre-long,four-lane elevated  expressway in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu,India. The corridor begins near the Uppilipalayam Flyover and ends near the Goldwins junction over the Avinashi Road, the most important arterial road in the city, bypassing over 12 traffic intersections. Since completion, this is the longest elevated corridor in Tamil Nadu, and the second longest in India.

Formwork from PASCHAL for efficient Avinashi Road elevated progress

The concrete Crash Barrier with Movable arrangements has been cast in situ. Due to its versatility and the extensive range of panels, the customer opted for the Modular universal formwork from PASCHAL.

For the Crash Barrier with a concrete area of around 52,800 square metres, PASCHAL Form Work (India) Pvt. Ltd. supplied around 100 per cent of the formwork material within 30 days so as to support the project teams according to their project requirements.

Thanks to the Modular Universal formwork with movable heavy duty Towers

For this project, PASCHAL Form Work (India) Pvt.Ltd. supplied 2 sets of modular Crash Barrier of 60 meters in length with Movable heavy duty towers of height 1.65 meters to perform adequate capacity of concrete pouring works exclusively by Boom placer.

With the versatile Modular formwork system and the simple formwork connection technology also ensures that work progresses is easier and faster compared to conventional formwork.

By using the Modular universal formwork and movable system, it was possible to cast more number of running meters quickly by the easy and effective engineering system in the appropriate quality.

The extensive range of PASCHAL Modular formwork panels allows the elements to be combined in many ways. All the geometric structures of the customized Haunch shutter were therefore produced with efficient arrangement of the Modular formwork.

Perfect formwork and formwork planning to overcome any challenge

In addition, the exact planning on the part of PASCHAL guaranteed that the available material could be used for both of the crash barriers alongside the road without disrupting the schedule.

By using the Modular universal formwork, it was possible to keep exactly to the timeframe with outstanding concrete results.

Modular formwork from PASCHAL – the tried and tested universal formwork

Modular universal formwork demonstrates its versatility, adaptability and flexibility – whether for foundations, walls, shafts, curvatures, columns or beams – time and time again. Another benefit of the PASCHAL Modular formwork lies in its durability and robustness. Consequently, the formwork material can easily be reused even after many applications.

The use of Modular universal formwork on this project enabled time and costs to be saved for a wide range of areas.  www.paschal.com
