Tsurumi to highlight short product lead times and showcase robust electric submersible pump lines at MINExpo 2021
- The pump manufacturer will display several of its product lines suited for handling the rigors of mining.
- It will also use the event to reassure customers that stock levels are strong, meaning delivery times are unaffected by global supply chain challenges.
- Tsurumi’s team will be on standby at the company’s booth to answer questions and discuss strategies for successful applications in mining.
Tsurumi Pump is highlighting the robust engineering of its pump lines at MINExpo International 2021 in Las Vegas, from Sept. 13 – 15. The manufacturer will occupy booth number 1413 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event is the world’s largest mining tradeshow gathering more than 1,100 exhibitors and dozens of thousands of attendees.
As manufacturers wrestle with supply chain disruptions and shipping delays, Tsurumi has worked to ensure timely availability of its products, in particular larger, high-head dewatering pumps widely used in the mining sector.
“We’d like to let our customers know that we’ve been diligent with long-term planning to support our customers in these trying times,” said Glenn Wieczorek, managing director of Tsurumi Pump in North America. “We’re steady, we’re here to help. We have solid stock levels and are confident in our delivery times. It’s business as usual for Tsurumi.”
A number of pumps suited for handling the rigors of mining will be on display at MINExpo this year, including:
- LH Series Submersible High-Pressure Pumps
- GPN Series Submersible Agitator Pumps
- GSZ Series Submersible, High-Head Dewatering Pumps
- KRS Series Submersible Dewatering Pumps
Tsurumi’s booth will also feature stainless steel and titanium pumps, which are manufactured to withstand heavily acidic runoff that can quickly degrade equipment, an issue that is commonly encountered in mining applications. From the impeller to the wet ends, the materials provide increased wear resistance, making them suitable for abrasive applications such as construction site drainage, commercial/industrial mine dewatering or effluent transfer.
“Pumps in mines are often expected to move high volumes of water that is laden with pyrite, iron, sand and other gritty solids,” Wieczorek said. “The continuous duty motors, high chromium impellers and adjustable wear rings found in Tsurumi pumps make them preferable in situations like these.”
MINExpo attendees will have the opportunity to consult with senior Tsurumi staff that will be present at the company’s booth.
