The choice of the MZ 250
Thor’s Trees selected the Multitel MZ 250, a truck-mounted articulated platform installed on a 3.5-tonne vehicle, offering a maximum working height of 25.10 m and a horizontal outreach of 14.35 m.
The platform allows a basket capacity of 250 kg up to 10.35 m outreach, providing an ideal balance between reach, stability and compact size — a key requirement when working on busy urban streets or residential sites.
Thanks to the articulated jib, the MZ 250 can also operate in negative positions down to –2.5 m, increasing versatility when operating around tree canopies or obstacles. The 400° turret rotation and the self-levelling basket
(1.40 x 0.70 m) with 90° + 90° rotation allow operators to position themselves accurately on the work area.
The machine is equipped with electro-hydraulic proportional controls and the MUSA Multitel management system, which optimises performance according to load, boom rotation and stabiliser configuration. Hydraulic stabilisers, designed and manufactured entirely by Multitel Pagliero, ensure quick and safe positioning even in restricted spaces.
Additional features include internal boom routing for pipes and cables to protect components from damage, a start/stop system in the basket to optimise fuel consumption, and an integrated telemetry system enabling remote monitoring, GPS localisation and diagnostics.
