Home International Events SCOTPLANT 2022 an ALL GREEN FAIR

ScotPlant, the largest construction equipment trade event in Scotland, opened its doors last Friday at Ingleston near Edinburgh. While a general equipment show, a good number of crane and access products were represented this year.

Liftech UK Ltd., the new Palazzani Distributor for UK and Northern Ireland didn’t miss the chance to present themselves and to show two Palazzani tracked Spider Lifts: a TZX 225 and an XTJ 32.

Scotland has a morphological variety, including plateaus, plains, and mountain ranges, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea, which is why the climate is not among the most favorable. Completely unpredictable, it varies between harsh winters and mild, rainy summers; the wind, more or less strong, always accompanies the Scottish days.

Scotplant 2022 hosted hundreds of visitors who had the opportunity to meet world-class brand manufacturers and dealers. After all the restrictions in the last two years, the fair was an excellent opportunity to finally get back to networking, interacting and doing business face-to-face.

„It’s been fantastic to personally meet customers and competitors. Despite we can establish relationships behind a computer, having the chance to meet people at the fair is an opportunity to grow relationships and establish new ones, as well as to understand customer needs, the market trends more in detail and to spread the company values. The fact that visitors can see and try the displayed machines is also a key factor which confirms the importance of these events” Declares Angela Piazzoli, Marketing Manager at Palazzani Industrie.

Scotland is important for the British market; the main important works are undoubtedly pruning and landscaping, rental, maintenance / cleaning of facades, painting.

The Liftech UK Ltd. stand attracted considerable interest and was visited by Scottish mainly, as well as British and Irish customers from all the above mentioned sectors. They shared their needs with the Liftech UK and Palazzani staff, received information, and tested the Palazzani Spider Lifts. The elements that most surprised visitors were the lightness and compactness of the towable 25-meter spider model, the compactness, strength, and technology of the 32-meter model, as well as the wide choice that Palazzani offers thanks to the many other models available in the range.

Ragno TZX 250 has an operating weight of only 2650 kg, an aluminum boom with two articulated and telescopic sections that allows to operate up to 25 meters, without movement restrictions with 2 people on the basket for a maximum of 250 kg. The set-up is quick and easy, with automatic leveling. Maximum stability even when moving on uneven and steeply sloping floor.

Ragno XTJ 32 is extremely versatile, offering excellent performance for its use in the most different environmental conditions. Equipped with a telescopic arm in Strenx steel + telescopic jib, 32 meters of maximum working height with 330 kg of maximum capacity in the basket, 360 ° continuous rotation, quick placements on strait and steep slopes, with automatic leveling.

We were glad to receive many interested visitors, and we can’t wait to see more Palazzani Spiders working in the green landscapes of Great Britain.

Broquiès is a small town located in Occitania, in the south of France, between the Pyrenees and the Cévennes.

The town is surrounded by nature, including plateaus, mountains, hills, coasts, and rivers.

The morphology of the territory is subject to landslides and mudslides, especially during heavy rains.

In 2020, a landslide threatened to bring down an electricity pylon, a fundamental network infrastructure designed to bring electricity to Broquiès town.

Our customer Corberon Pierre Sarl, specialized in lifting platforms rental, stepped in promptly by providing to the RTE, Réseau de Transport d’Electricité his Palazzani Spider Platform XTJ 52+ with his skilled operator. The intervention required to rebuild a new pylon to host the power line and repair the 225 kW high voltage line.

„Over the last year” says Pierre Corberon, „with the various movements of the power line, it emerged that the existing repairs were not sufficiently robust and that the affected sections had to be completely replaced to ensure the general durability. Access was particularly difficult ” continues Corberon” with slopes between 13 and 20 °. The features that my customer appreciated the most have been the important outreach of the XTJ 52+ at a working height of 30 meters and the basket capacity of 400kg. „

Ragno XTJ 52+ is in fact one of the most versatile spider lift model able to perform fast and precise movements at any height and without rear obstructions. The set-up combinations are numerous since each stabilizer is independent and this is a key factor when there are obstacles, or in narrow places. The „area manager system” automatically adjusts the outreaches, depending on the set-up and load (120/230 / 400kg), still allowing to work on all 660° rotation, and making this giant spider extremely easy usable.  The 980 kg hydraulic winch is interchangeable with the aerial nacelle and gets this machine even more versatile, opening it to extra applications.

„The operation lasted 3 days, from Monday 4 to Thursday 7 April 2022. The main goal was to reinforce the already existing reparation on the line.” Corberon explains.

„Accessing to the site was particularly steep, with no path for the platform. The operator therefore needed deep overlooks to find out the best passage possibilities based on the machine’s capabilities. The operation proved to be very difficult as each intervention required a different set-up and it was necessary to level the ground to prepare the Spider for the various placements „ Corberon concludes.

Palazzani Industrie offers a wide range of aerial platforms, from 17 to 52 meters, our qualified staff will be able to direct you to the best solution.
