Safe formwork for complex floor plans and all heights-single-sided formwork from PASCHAL

Whether in building construction, civil engineering or underground construction – single-sided formwork imposes stringent demands on technology and safety. With its ingenious combination of support jacks, tie systems and proven wall formwork, PASCHAL offers a versatile and reliable solution that can safely handle any construction site scenario. Innovative components and proven technology enable PASCHAL to deliver robust, efficient construction processes – assuring optimum safety and precision in any project.

Technical background – why support jacks are indispensable

Using single-sided formwork dispenses with the need for formwork on the opposing side. This enables concrete pressures to be transferred safely, avoiding the need for classic double-sided anchoring with nuts and tie rods. With single-sided concreting, the compressive forces of fresh concrete are transferred effectively from the formwork panel to the supporting jack. This ensures robust and safe construction. This transmission of forces is crucial for stabilising the formwork reliably during the concreting process. It also prevents distortion or damage. The forces absorbed by the supporting jack are then transferred to the floor slab or foundation through ties embedded in concrete.

Flexible system for variable heights

PASCHAL can provide a wide range of support jacks to suit different requirements:

  • Flixstop is ideal for formwork heights of up to 90 cm, e.g., when forming floor slabs.
  • The multi waler, a 140-cm-long steel bar from the LOGO product range, can be used in conjunction with system components to create a supporting jack up to 2.00 m high with an adjustable inclination range.
  • If greater heights of 3.00 m and 4.00 m are required, these can be catered for with rigid support jacks. Great flexibility: The 4.00 m supporting jack can be extended to 6.00 m or 8.00 m with base extensions, while the 3.00 m supporting jack can be lengthened to 4.00 m with an extension section.

PASCHAL employs the modular design principle to deliver effective construction site logistics and also to reduce storage costs. The advantage of these options for extending or reducing segments is that it dispenses with the need for different sizes of support jacks to suit different support heights. Instead, only one size is needed as it can be extended.

System neutrality for maximum compatibility

A great advantage of PASCHAL support jacks: They are system-neutral and therefore suit all commonly used formwork systems. The range is complemented by matching anchor systems in the standard diameters DW15, DW20 and DW26.5. This ensures precise and safe force transmission. The associated design tables with all relevant forces depending on the fresh concrete pressure are provided by the manufacturer.

Efficient implementation – safe use

Using system components to interconnect the supporting jack and formwork panels ensures a stable unit. This unit can be pre-fabricated and implemented as a whole in cycles. Integrated spindles in the supporting jack enable the formwork to be aligned precisely. PASCHAL solutions even enable complex geometries such as corners to be formed efficiently and safely.

A focus on occupational safety

PASCHAL also sets standards when it comes to safety: Working platforms with integrated access steps and lateral protection can be mounted on the formwork panels. This ensures safe working at all heights – without additional structures.
