This new addition is part of the company’s growth strategy in the global lighting tower market

HIMOINSA has defined its growth strategy in the lighting tower sector to become a leader in the global market. The company has focused on expanding its production capacity, developing new lighting tower models, and bringing in new professionals dedicated to the commercialization of this product.

In addition to the recent launch of its lighting tower factory in Europe, the company has now appointed a Business Development Manager to contribute to its growth objectives in the lighting tower sector—a market that, according to experts, could reach $1.500 millions by 2027.

Iain Curran brings over 20 years of experience in the power generation sector. He has held several roles, from production and sales to service and operations, providing him with a comprehensive understanding that will help him in his new role within HIMOINSA’s Mobile Power business unit. His extensive knowledge of the rental market and experience in introducing hybrid units to the UK market will be crucial to driving the company’s growth plan in the lighting tower segment mainly in the EMEA region, where his responsability will be strongest.

In terms of industrial capacity, HIMOINSA launched a new lighting tower factory in Europe at the end of 2023, with a production capacity of 5,000 units per year, in addition to production at its manufacturing plants in Asia and the Americas. The factory will produce diesel, hybrid, and electric lighting towers, always focusing on innovation, connectivity, efficiency, and safety.

Regarding its product line, HIMOINSA continues to invest in the development of its complete range of lighting towers. New models such as the HBOX+ (diesel and hybrid versions) and HBOX+ 48VDC have been added, along with the recent launch of the HCOMPACT+ design. Existing versions, such as the AS4006, have also been updated with LED technology and the S5 engine, along with other adaptations tailored to specific markets such as Australia, Germany, and the UK.

Leveraging synergies with Yanmar, the parent company of HIMOINSA, engineering teams from both companies are working together on the design of new exclusive engines for lighting towers, ensuring compliance with international regulations (Stage V, Tier 4F…).

The company’s goal is to strengthen its position in the lighting tower market as part of its growth strategy in the Mobile Power business unit. The addition of Iain Curran is undoubtedly an important step in continuing to offer market-leading solutions, reaffirming HIMOINSA’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

It’s a pleasure to be part of HIMOINSA and the Mobile Power project, where I’m confident that lighting tower products will play a key role in the company’s growth. We have the experience, production capacity, and a complete portfolio of high-quality products—everything we need to become market leaders. I appreciate the trust placed in me and take on the responsibility of contributing to the company’s growth objectives,” said Iain Curran, Business Development Manager for Lighting Towers.
