New asphalt mixing plant generation from Benninghoven focuses on lower running costs
Wittlich, 11 August 2026 – With the new CORE, Benninghoven is adding an asphalt mixing plant to its portfolio that offers a clearly defined range of options, a lean design, transport and installation concept and state-of-the-art technologies, all at an attractive price. The plant focuses on long term economic efficiency and lower total cost of ownership throughout the entire lifecycle.
The plant for high asphalt quality and stable processes
The CORE is based on the tried and tested Benninghoven technologies, can be used worldwide and offers reliable performance, high asphalt qualities and security of investment throughout the entire lifecycle. The mobile, highly flexible asphalt mixing plant uses the batch principle. Its large variety of recipes and RAP material content of up to 40% enable the production of high quality asphalt mixtures. Should demand increase, pre-configured interfaces can be used for flexible retrofitting of components in order to quickly react to changing market requirements.
Intelligent technology reduces running costs
The CORE meets the requirements of plant owners in terms of planning security and reliability by keeping the ongoing and calculable operational costs as low and transparent as possible. A special focus was placed on optimising energy and fuel consumption as the central cost factors. Modern frequency converters on components such as the exhaustor and dryer drum adjust the power as needed to contribute to reducing the energy consumption.
The new MULTI JET multi fuel burner offers additional flexibility by enabling concurrent use of up to four fuels, allowing plant owners to quickly react to fluctuating energy prices and availability.
The integrated Smart Weighing System supports operation to ensure optimised asphalt quality. Accurate recipe implementation avoids overdosing and adheres to narrow tolerances, even with changing material flows and temperatures.
New design and simple installation concept
The CORE impresses with its new design concept that makes plant installation more economical. Cranes with a load capacity of below 90 tons can be used for installation, improving availability in the respective regions and increasing flexibility while reducing installation costs for the customer.
Another advantage: The optimised design allows for smaller foundations, reducing material and construction costs for the customer.
Thanks to its modular design, the plant can initially be run as a basic model and then expanded gradually. Pre-configured interfaces make subsequent retrofits easier and enable adaptations to changing market requirements without extensive conversion work, e.g. various feed systems. Pre-assembled mesh cable trays reduce the installation work and increase operational safety. This makes the CORE ideal in particular for moving roadworks and projects with short implementation periods.
Easy maintenance, ergonomic, safe
The maintenance friendly plant and safety concept, combined with comprehensive safety measures, simplify the service and work processes to support reliable plant operation. All components are easily accessible, with large access openings in ergonomic locations. Pre-defined anchor points for personal protective equipment (PPE), the Benninghoven key transfer system, contact protection on the mixer and the pneumatic cylinders, fall protection and optimum lighting of the work and maintenance areas are examples of improved health and safety aspects that also increase acceptance from operating personnel.
Optimised for international transport
The restricted transport width and the maximum transport height of three meters mean that special transports, escort vehicles and additional approvals can be avoided or reduced in many cases.
At the same time, clever logistics planning for the components reduces the number of packing units to ensure that fewer lorries are used for worldwide shipping. This facilitates the administrative process and significantly reduces transport costs.
