The 60th Edition Closes Today With 50,000 Trade Operators From 132 Countries

Visitor quality continues to grow, with companies satisfied with the business generated at their stands: 63% of operators come from abroad and eight out of ten are involved in purchasing decisions. Buyers from Turkey (+20%) and India (+16%) are on the rise.

Verona, 25 September 2026. From all over the world to Verona to do business and open up new markets. The 60th edition of Marmomac closes today at Veronafiere, with companies expressing satisfaction with the negotiations developed at their stands and the further increase in the quality of the contacts they met. The international exhibition dedicated to the techno-stone supply chain brought together for four days more than 1,300 exhibitors from 54 countries and 50,000 trade operators from 132 countries, confirming Verona’s role in the global trade of natural stone and processing technologies.

The profile of visitors supports business activity: eight out of ten visitors are directly involved in purchasing decisions. International visitors account for 63% of attendance, while 65% of exhibitors come from abroad: participation figures that rank Marmomac among the world’s most international trade fair business ecosystems. Germany tops the top ten countries for international attendance, followed by Spain, the United States, India and France. Turkey, the United Kingdom, Poland, Portugal and Brazil complete the top ten. Among the most significant trends is the growth in buyers from Turkey (+20%) and India (+16%) compared to 2025.

«Marmomac has reached its 60th edition with a clear economic role: helping companies compete on international markets – says Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere –. It is a trade fair asset serving the entire supply chain, also providing companies with a system of institutional relations that can support their development abroad. The presence of Ministers Urso and Mazzi at the opening ceremony and meetings with representatives of partner countries testify to the attention focused on this sector. Collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Confindustria Marmomacchine, associations and production districts is being strengthened through joint efforts that ensure continuity for Verona’s role as a meeting point for the global natural stone market».

«The satisfaction expressed by companies with the meetings and business developed in Verona is the benchmark against which we measure our work – comments Giovanni Sacripante, General Manager of Veronafiere –. This edition highlighted a further increase in the quality of trade operators: knowledgeable counterparts with specific requirements and purchasing power. For companies, this means being able to work more effectively during the days of the show and build relationships to be developed over the following months. Our investment in selecting demand is moving in this direction, with a focus on the business opportunities offered by each segment, from materials to technologies and their interaction with the design world of architects and designers».

Preparations for B2B meetings involved Veronafiere, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Confindustria Marmomacchine, which selected and invited 450 top buyers from 58 countries. The schedules arranged before the show opened included more than 3,200 B2B meetings, compared to 2,200 at the previous edition. This targeted activity is designed to connect companies with potential customers in their target markets and expand opportunities for access to new destinations. Among the invited delegations, the largest groups came from India, the United States, Egypt, Canada and China.

The institutional dimension also accompanied the commercial dimension throughout the four days. For the first time in its history, Marmomac was opened by two ministers: Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and Gianmarco Mazzi, Minister of Tourism. The opening ceremony was also attended by Alberto Stefani, President of the Veneto Region; Flavio Massimo Pasini, President of the Province of Verona; Damiano Tommasi, Mayor of Verona; and Gianluca Pellegrino, President of Confindustria Marmomacchine, with Matteo Zoppas, President of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), joining by video link.

The schedule of meetings included discussions with the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Consulate General of China in Milan, the Algerian Ambassador and Consul, the Ambassador of Oman, the Consuls General of the Republic of India and Morocco, and representatives of the Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association (İMİB), which celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation at the show itself. These relations strengthen the exhibition’s links with countries that produce and purchase materials and technologies.

The development of new applications for natural stone completed the exhibition offering. With The Bedrock pavilion, dialogue between companies, architects and the research world explored the relationship between design applications, technological innovation and sustainability. Marmomac and the City extended this approach into Verona’s historic city centre, bringing the expressive potential and applications of natural stone materials to the attention of the public, in collaboration with White Carrara.

Work on international markets now continues beyond the main event in Verona through Marmomac Brazil in São Paulo (2–4 March 2027), Cachoeiro Stone Fair in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Brazil (24–26 August 2027), and Marmomac Academy’s international activities in Poland and Hungary: a network through which Veronafiere develops contacts with trade operators and design professionals and generates new opportunities for companies to meet in the run-up to the 61st edition of Marmomac, scheduled from 21 to 24 September 2027.  www.marmomac.com
