ASPHALTICA at Bologna Exhibition Centre: From 7 to 10 October 2026 – Focus on Innovation, Sustainability and Safety for the Mobility of the Future
The 2026 ASPHALTICA, the international exhibition for the road industry, organized by BolognaFiere and Siteb, is being renewed with new exhibition spaces, live demonstration areas and a strategic focus on technologies for increasingly efficient, safe and sustainable infrastructures.
From 7 to 10 October 2026, ASPHALTICA returns to Bologna: Italy’s and Europe’s leading event dedicated to road paving, infrastructures, technologies and safety (barriers, road signs, lighting technology) for sustainable mobility. Organised by BolognaFiere in collaboration with SITEB, which created the event more than twenty years ago, ASPHALTICA is a un unmissable rendez-vous for companies, designers, public administrations, contractors, universities and professionals across the entire road and infrastructure supply chain.
The 2026 edition marks an important step forward for the event, which will be hold in BolognaFiere’s new Hall 37, a modern, multifunctional space — completely column-free — that also hosts Basketball Virtus EuroLeague matches and the final stage of the Davis Cup tennis tournament.
Following the growing results achieved by the 2024 edition — with over 120 exhibitors from 10 countries and 7,300 net square metres of exhibition space — this year ASPHALTICA aims to reach 150 exhibitors and 10,000 net square metres, further strengthening its international role through incoming programmes dedicated to foreign buyers and journalists.
Special attention will once again be given to the SITEB Agorà sessions, which, as per tradition, will provide an up-to-date overview of the country and its road infrastructure, with a specific focus on strategic topics such as rising energy costs, road safety and new market scenarios. Alongside the traditional sectors of asphalt and bitumen, the 2026 edition will also feature barriers, road signage, lighting technology, smart roads, digital technologies, electric vehicles and the rental of special vehicles.
Among the main new features is the debut of „The Sustainable Worksite”, the new live demonstration area dedicated to the recovery and reuse of reclaimed asphalt pavement. In a real operational worksite set up outside Hall 37, visitors will be able to watch the entire road construction process live: from milling to regeneration and final compaction. Two daily demonstrations will offer an immersive, hands-on experience of the most advanced technologies in sustainable paving and the circular economy applied to infrastructures.
ASPHALTICA 2026 will also strengthen its cultural and scientific role thanks to a rich programme of conferences, workshops and seminars — organised by SITEB — dedicated to regulatory developments, sustainability, safety and technological innovation. More than 50 technical and scientific events are planned, with the involvement of leading institutions, universities and industry stakeholders.
„With Asphaltica 2026, we aim to offer the supply chain an increasingly international, experiential and future-oriented event,” the organisers state. „The transformation of road infrastructures today passes through innovation, sustainability, safety and training: Asphaltica is the ideal place where these themes come together and become concrete opportunities for business and development.”
The appointment with Asphaltica is from 7 to 10 October 2026 at Bologna Exhibition Centre, Italy.
