Asphaltica 2026 Grows and Looks to the Future of the Road Network

From October 7 to 10, 2026, at BolognaFiere

140 exhibitors, over 8,000 expected operators, and 40 conferences and workshops. Among the new features: the new Hall 37, the SITEB Agoràs, and the Sustainable Construction Site. In 2027, Asphaltica World will debut in Rome

Rome, September 25, 2026 – A larger exhibition area, a growing number of companies, and a program dedicated to the major transformations in the sector. Asphaltica – the international exhibition for the road supply chain organized by BolognaFiere in collaboration with SITEB (the Italian Roads and Bitumen Association, representing the entire road sector from asphalt producers to machinery, equipment, road safety, signage, barriers, and smart roads) – returns from October 7 to 10, 2026, with a strongly growing edition.

The event will gather 140 exhibitors, including 18 from 7 foreign countries, marking an 18% increase compared to 2024. Over 8,000 operators are expected from across Europe, while the net exhibition area will reach 9,800 square meters (up from 7,300 in the previous edition). Delegations of foreign operators will further enhance the international profile of the exhibition.

These industry numbers confirm Asphaltica’s role as the benchmark event for a sector called upon to face a strategic challenge for the country: managing and maintaining over 800,000 kilometers of road infrastructure in efficient condition, ensuring continuity of interventions, safety, and the ability to prevent degradation. In this scenario, data, artificial intelligence, digital monitoring, and new standards can help render the network more efficient, safe, and resilient. Transformation relies on detailed knowledge of infrastructure conditions and the ability to intervene before critical issues become emergencies.

Key Features and Highlights of the 2026 Edition

New Location:The 2026 edition will take place in BolognaFiere’s new Hall 37, one of the most technologically advanced halls in the exhibition center. It will offer an integrated overview of the entire supply chain, connecting manufacturers, designers, contractors, infrastructure managers, public administrations, universities, and research centers.
Industry Representation:Prominent exhibitors include energy giants (ENI, Italiana Petroli – IP), machinery manufacturers (Wirtgen Group, Ammann, Marini, Bomag, Dynapac, CGT – CAT, CAMS, Bernardi Impianti), additive specialists (Mapei, Iterchimica), road safety leaders (Cancellotti, Traffic Lab, Cartelli Segnalatori), engineering/design firms (SINA), and the technical-scientific presence of PIARC (World Road Association).

European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA): EAPA will hold its Autumn Technical Committee at Asphaltica for the first time during the first two days of the fair, bringing European experts together to discuss sustainability, digitalization, and health & safety.
The Sustainable Construction Site (Cantiere Sostenibile):Presented by InFrastrade, this live demonstration area will showcase the full road resurfacing cycle using next-generation machinery—from soil stabilization and compaction to laying high-RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement) mixtures, low-emission technologies, mobile labs, and circular economy practices.
ANAS 80th Anniversary Preview: An exhibition of vintage machinery and equipment ahead of ANAS’s upcoming 80th anniversary (founded in 1946, succeeding AASS from 1928).
Assosegnaletica: Preview of the new „Manual for Luminous Signals” (patronized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport) covering criteria for selection, installation, and maintenance.
Ragazzi On The Road: An educational initiative (founded in 2007) bringing young people alongside emergency and safety operators to promote road safety awareness and legal responsibility.

Future Roadmap

Asphaltica World (Rome, October 20–21, 2027):Following the 2025 experience in Bari, a conference-exhibition format will debut at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome to foster direct dialogue between industry leaders and political/institutional stakeholders.
