Multitel at Salon Vert 2026 and Apf: Three Solutions for Working at Height in the Green Industry

In France, the 160 ALU Hybrid, MXE 160 Pick-Up and Palazzani TZJ 180 showcased three different ways of meeting the needs of professionals working in the green industry. Together with Multitel’s participation in the APF Exhibition in the United Kingdom, this presence confirms the Group’s focus on this sector.

From 22 to 24 September, Multitel took part in Salon Vert 2026, the French event dedicated to professionals in landscaping and green space maintenance. It provided a particularly suitable setting in which to present solutions designed to meet some of the typical requirements of this sector: reaching trees and work areas even on difficult terrain, operating in confined spaces and, especially in parks and urban environments, reducing noise and emissions as much as possible during operation.

The Multitel exhibition area featured the 160 ALU Hybrid, MXE 160 Pick-Up and Palazzani TZJ 180: three platforms with very different configurations, yet particularly well suited to green maintenance and arboriculture, where ground conditions, accessibility to the work area and the need to move easily between trees, flower beds and other obstacles can all influence the choice of machine.

The 160 ALU Hybrid combines the practicality of a 3.5-tonne truck-mounted platform with the possibility of operating in electric mode, silently and with no emissions during platform use. The 230 Ah battery pack powers a 2.5 kW electric motor and provides up to 8 hours of operation in a standard work cycle; the batteries can be recharged via a 220 V mains connection and while the vehicle is being driven. It reaches a working height of 16.30 m and a maximum outreach of 10.50 m with an 80 kg capacity, while with 200 kg it reaches 7.80 m. Compact and easy to use even in confined spaces, it is a particularly interesting solution for pruning and maintenance work in parks, gardens, residential areas and city centres, where electric operation helps reduce both noise and emissions.

With the MXE 160 Pick-Up, on the other hand, the focus shifts to the ability to reach the work site. Its configuration on a Ford Ranger 4×4 makes it particularly suitable for work on uneven terrain and in green, wooded or rural areas where a standard truck-mounted platform may encounter greater access difficulties. With a 15.70 m working height, an outreach of 8.90 m with 80 kg and 5.70 m with 250 kg, the MXE 160 combines mobility, compact dimensions and in-line stabilisation, all useful features for pruning, tree care and land maintenance activities.

Completing the range is the Palazzani TZJ 180, an articulated and telescopic tracked platform with jib, reaching a working height of 18 m and an outreach of 8 m, with a basket capacity of 230 kg. The tracks, extendable from 780 to 960 mm, 360° turret rotation and compact dimensions make it easier to use when it is necessary to approach the work area through narrow passages or across surfaces where mobility and weight distribution are particularly important. For applications where reducing emissions during operation is especially relevant, the TZJ 180 is also available in Eco and Eco Pro electric configurations, as well as petrol and diesel versions. The two electric versions use LiFePO4 batteries with capacities of 5.6 and 11.2 kWh respectively.

Three configurations that therefore approach work in the green sector from different perspectives: the possibility of electric operation with the 160 ALU Hybrid, the 4×4 mobility of the MXE 160 Pick-Up and the accessibility offered by the tracked TZJ 180. Solutions designed to adapt to the characteristics of the work site and the different needs of professionals involved in pruning, arboriculture and green space maintenance.

During the same period, this focus on the sector also extended to the United Kingdom, where Multitel took part in the APF Exhibition, an event dedicated to the forestry and arboriculture industries. It was another opportunity to meet operators and professionals who use aerial platforms every day in conditions where accessibility, mobility and the ability to adapt to the terrain are essential requirements.

The presence of the TZJ 180 at Salon Vert also takes on particular significance in light of the completion of Multitel’s acquisition of Palazzani Industrie, announced on 23 September. The Palazzani spider lift range now complements Multitel’s truck-mounted platform offering and is distributed directly by Multitel subsidiaries in France, the United Kingdom and Spain, broadening the range of solutions available to customers, including in sectors such as green space maintenance and arboriculture, where compactness, mobility and access capability can make a real difference.
