Focus on Recycling

Windhagen, September 10, 2026 – From 7 to 10 October 2026, the Wirtgen Group will be presenting solutions for road construction, earthworks, and the processing of quarried stone and recyclable materials in Bologna under the event motto “Roads to the Future”. In Hall 37, Booth B40, and on the outdoor exhibition area, the spotlight will be on the market debuts of the SUPER 800-5 P Mini Class paver, the HC 200i C VA compactor, and the MR 100i NEOe impact crusher.

Do More with Less with New Wirtgen Group Technologies

The premieres at the show also include the MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe mobile impact crusher from Kleemann. In the e-version, the fully-electric E-DRIVE concept enables operation of the impact crusher with local zero operational emissions. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low transport weight, the versatile impact crusher can be quickly and easily moved from place to place and used for a wide range of applications. The spectrum ranges from the processing of soft to medium-hard quarried stone to recycling applications such as the processing of concrete, mixed material, and reclaimed asphalt.

With the compact large milling machine W 200 Fi, Wirtgen adds a further highlight to the selection of machines from the Wirtgen Group portfolio being presented at the show. The milling machine features a simple operating concept and caters for a broad spectrum of applications ranging from surface layer rehabilitation and full-depth pavement removal to fine milling work. Thanks to Mill Assist and the Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker, the machine provides seamless documentation of the construction site and simultaneous optimizes productivity and consumption of resources. Another visitor to the show is the wheeled WRC 240 X, which enables the crushing of rocks and stones, hand-packed stone pavement layers, concrete fragments, or cobblestones at production rates of up to 600 t/h.

The company group is also showing the new MULTI JET burner from Benninghoven. With the world’s first burner for asphalt mixing plants that can also be fired with 100% green hydrogen, the drying and heating process for virgin material and recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) is CO2 emission-free. In addition to the burner, the new MULTI JET Control burner control system and a feed system with a patented pressure regulating section are also part of the perfectly coordinated all-in-one solution with which up to four different fuels can be used at the same time, regardless of their physical state – whether solid, liquid, or gaseous.

Wirtgen Group Experts Take the Stage with Two Technical Presentations

At Asphaltica 2026, the Wirtgen Group is focusing primarily on the topic of recycling. For instance, on October 8, Regional Sales Manager Alessandro Camerini will be presenting “Solutions for Production and Recycling Management Systems” from the group’s Wirtgen, Kleemann, and Benninghoven brands. One day earlier, on October 7, 2026, spare parts sales specialist Luca Pirozzolo from Wirtgen Macchine, will be providing insights into the topic of “Digital Transformation on Road Construction Sites”.

Wirtgen Group specialists from the group’s Italian subsidiary, Wirtgen Macchine, will be at the show to answer any questions visitors may have about products, solutions, and services in a personal dialog.

Digital Solutions for Greater Transparency in the Construction Process

A whole range of digital solutions for various different areas of the road construction process chain will also be presented. These include, for example, the automation solution Smart Compact Pro, which visitors to the show will be able to experience at first hand with the aid of a simulator at the Wirtgen Group booth. With Hamm’s Realtime Density Scan, the automation of compaction on the basis of real-time asphalt density measurement is now possible for the first time. Through real-time measurement of the asphalt density across the entire paved surface, this system offers contractors the opportunity to reduce costs and simultaneously improve the quality of their asphalt compaction.

Visitors to the booth can also find out more about the John Deere Operations CenterTM. The key functions of the digital platform include planning, monitoring, maintenance, and the analysis of construction sites and equipment. Integrated maintenance schedules enable comprehensive streamlining of processes and the optimization of machine performance and services.  www.wirtgen-group.com
