Office Market Renewal: Yokogawa Romania extends its office lease at YUNITY Park beyond 20 years through its fourth consecutive extension
In an office market where many companies are currently optimizing or relocating their workspaces, the local subsidiary of Japanese company Yokogawa România, active in industrial automation and process control, has decided to extend its lease agreement for the offices occupied in Building F of YUNITY Park, the business campus owned by Genesis Property, for another five years.
This marks the fourth consecutive renewal of the lease agreement originally signed in 2007, bringing the total duration of the partnership to more than 20 years. As a result, Yokogawa România is among the longest-standing tenants within the business campus located in the northern area of Bucharest.
A system, not just an office space
Over time, YUNITY Park has evolved beyond the traditional office model through a sustained investment program focused on the way organizations work, collaborate, and perform. The campus integrates infrastructure and services designed to support long-term performance: spaces for focus and recovery, areas dedicated to interaction and collaboration, as well as an environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance.
These include, among others, an urban forest, an open-air amphitheater, extensive promenade areas, and spaces dedicated to informal meetings. The campus transformation is currently in its third stage of development, following investments of more than €50 million.
”At a time when many organizations are reducing their office footprint, a different kind of decision is becoming increasingly relevant: continuity. The fact that Yokogawa România has chosen, for the fourth time, to remain and extend this partnership confirms one essential thing: it is not the spaces themselves that make the difference, but the system in which they operate. YUNITY Park was designed precisely with this direction in mind – as an environment that supports the long-term performance of organizations, not merely as office infrastructure”, says Ionel Purice, CEO, Genesis Property.
Building F within YUNITY Park was nominated in 2025 for the BREEAM Awards, in the Lifecycle Award category, and has achieved “Outstanding” scores in recent years for criteria such as occupant health and wellbeing, resource efficiency, and biodiversity. At the same time, the outdoor areas were reconfigured by transforming parking spaces into an urban park, supporting decarbonization and wellbeing objectives.
“For us, continuity is the result of deliberate choices and of an environment that functions coherently. At YUNITY Park, we found a space that reflects Yokogawa’s principles – integrity, respect for people, and the creation of long-term value. From infrastructure to the employees’ day-to-day experience, this environment supports the performance and collaboration of our team, which is why we chose to continue the partnership”, says Anton Grigore, Country Manager, Yokogawa Romania.
In recent years, the way office spaces are designed has changed significantly, driven by the rapid evolution of both companies’ and employees’ expectations. For Genesis Property, the company founded by entrepreneur Liviu Tudor, real estate development means creating ecosystems that support professional performance and personal balance – a vision reflected in the YUNITY Park office campus.
